When I decided to be a writer at the age of eleven, I never really thought my dream would come true. Along the path to get here I have stepped over some pretty big obstacles, fallen off the path, been pushed off, and helped back up. I have to say when I finally get to hold my very first book in my hands I’m not sure what I’ll do first. Cry-probably, scream yippee-definitely. 🙂 This Summer has been the best. I wish it could last all year, but I live in the frozen north. Oh, well. I hope you all have a wonderful hump day! Camels, zebras, and giraffes aside.
And remember for right now through August 1st. Anyone who leaves a smiley face with a comment on my blog will be entered into a Summer giveaway consisting of one free signed print copy of Winter Gifts, an e-book copy of Spring’s Promise in the format of their choice, a $25.00 gift card from Amazon, and some swag of my choice. I will pick the lucky winner on August 1st at 7pm.
Shares to your friends would also be welcome! 🙂 If you want to check out my books you can pop on over to Breathless Press at- http://www.breathlesspress.com

Alison Carver, Witch extraordinaire, didn’t see this coming. After helping a scared girl run away from her intended husband (an ancient Vampire), the only prediction she could make with certainty – she was going to die, soon. But fate intervened in the form of one Reginald Leclair, Wolf Alpha. Now, the last time she saw him she was a scared young woman with an unfortunate case of acne and let’s just say she didn’t make the best impression. And yet, within minutes of their reunion he mated her! Not the best political decision to make with the Tri-Species (Wolf, Vampire, Witch) Treaty hanging in the balance that’s for sure. But what’s a stubborn Alpha to do when a tempting Witch steps into his life, again?
An enjoyable paranormal romp filled with Wolves, Vampires and Witches! Reginald is the quintessential Alpha – stubborn (it does bear repeating), proud, strong, arrogant and amazing. The way he fixated on Alison was entertaining. Alison is also strong, she would have to be in order to stand up to him, she is also idealistic and loyal. They aren’t perfect – Reginald is stubborn to the point of hurting Alison, and she is independent to the point of putting herself heedlessly in danger. There are serious parts in the story – politics, prejudice, murderous Vampires. But there is also familial teasing aplenty, romance, action, danger, powerful beings… The only setback is that there is not much to set this book apart from scores of similar books. All in all, it is a more than solid read, however, with a great main cast that will leave the one yearning for the next book in the series!
Have you voted for Winter Gifts, yet? There’s 2 hours left!! I’d love your help! Thanks!!:)

I will always remember 2013 as the year I became a published author and a Line Editor for Breathless Press! I have seven titles published and selling for BP and two fast tracked with them for next year. I can’t wait to get going on them. It has been my dream since I was eleven to be a writer, back in the day when I carried around a folder and a notebook and my trusty pen. Times they have changed for gone is my pen, and my notebook is now a laptop.
My mother, Joyce, was my biggest supporter of my writing. You know, I never knew that she read any of my work. When she was alive I asked her several times to read my stories, but she always put it off. It wasn’t until very recently that my Aunt Elaine told me about them sneaking into my room and reading my notebooks while I was away. My mother made it clear that they had to remember which notebook was on top, so I wouldn’t suspect their snooping. If she had only told me then that she liked my writing back then, I wouldn’t have felt a bit cheated at her never seeing me published. I’m just very grateful that my aunt came forward to tell me how proud Mom was of my writing.
I have so many things to be thankful for this year. A husband who loves me and supports my work. Fur babies, who are getting really old, but who never fail to get my attention when I’m trying to write. And a generous and family-oriented publishing house that I wouldn’t change for anything.
My resolutions for this year include the usual weight loss, exercising and diet plans(that I will be lucky to follow for a month!).and cutting back on chocolate due to a family history of diabetes. Yuck! I also want to add posting on my blog once a day and upping my promo skills. What are your resolutions for this year? I’d love to hear about them.
